The match at the Mordovia Arena was attended by FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Her Imperial Highness Princess Hisako Takamado

On June, 19 on the stadium «Mordovia Arena» the second match of the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia ™ was played between the national teams of Colombia and Japan.

The FIFA President Gianni Infantino attended the game. The Guest of honor was met by the Head of Mordovia Vladimir Volkov. During the conversation the Presidend of FIFA highly appreciated the readiness of the region for the world football championship, noting that Saransk is a very clean, well-groomed city.

Vladimir Volkov: "On the way from the airport to the stadium we organized a short excursion for Mr. Infantino: we showed our modern Tavla microdistrict, the historic center of the city with new buildings, the Opera and Ballet Theater, the Millennium Square, fountains, and a new embankment near the stadium."

"It is obvious that this the result of not a day's work and of a lot of Mordovia people," said Gianni Infantino.

Also, among honored guests of the Republic present at the Colombia - Japan game played on the  “Mordovia Arena”, there were the Princess of Japan Hisako Takamado, Chairman of the Organizing Committee "Russia-2018" Arkady Dvorkovich, General Director of the Organizing Committee "Russia - 2018" Alexei Sorokin..

The second match on «Mordovia to Arena» was visited by 40 842 spectators.
