Vladimir Volkov, the Head of the Republic of Mordovia participated in the final collegium of Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Mordovia

Vladimir Volkov, the Head of the Republic of Mordovia participated in the collegium extended meeting of Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Mordovia, which took place on 27 January 2017. The results of Internal Affairs Agencies' work in 2016 were summed up. Yuri Arsentiev, the Head of the Ministry assessed the situation in the region as stable and controlled, expressed gratitude to the Administration of Mordovia and to colleagues from Law Enforcement Agencies for cooperative resolutions of law-and-order issues. Crime rate in the Republic remains lower than an average rate in Russia and among the Volga Federal District regions.  Last year the number of registered in Mordovia crimes decreased by 7,5 %.

Vladimir Volkov, the Head of the Republic of Mordovia listed following high priority tasks facing the Internal Affairs Agencies in 2017: ensurance of law and order on streets and in public places, legal offence prevention especially among young people, improvement of district police and patrol guard service officers' work. The most important directions of work remain also anticorruption efforts, solving of economic and tax crimes, anti-terroristic security of citizens, including the period of preparation and staging the FIFA World Cup in 2018.
